Bowman Road Park and Ride is off I-80
just east of Auburn--going east its the first off ramp past the
Auburn Ravine / Foresthill exit from I-80 and before the Bell road
exit. We'll follow scenic rural roads to the town of Colfax then
beyond through a dense forested area to the top of Norton Grade. The
return passes Rollins Lake and Colfax then down Placer Hills road to
Bowman.

The school is located on the south side
of Pomona St. This is Dave's version of the metric loop of the
Grizzly Peak Century. Meet behind the school. We'll ride Carquinez
Scenic Drive, McEwen Rd, Mama and Pappa Hills of Bear Creek Rd, the
switchbacks of Wildcat Canyon, and delight in the panoramic Grizzly
Peak Drive, and the redwood forest of Pinehurst Rd. Elev 5,500 long
route, and 2,500 short. No food for first 48 miles. This is one of my
favorite rides!
