Ride of Silence – Sacramento
7:00 PM
Sacramento

City Plaza/Cesar Chavez Park

Join cyclists worldwide in a silent slow-paced ride (max. 12 mph) in honor of those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways. All must remain silent during the ride. Wear club yellow jersey and club shorts.

This ride aims to raise the awareness of motorists, police, and city officials that cyclists have a legal right to the public roadways. Wheelmen need to sign-in on sheet for Club mileage. Lights are preferable for anyone considering riding home. This ride will be held in downtown Sacramento unless there is a cyclist injured by a vehicle in the area in 2009, in which case the ride will start at the site of the collision. This ride will be escorted by First on Scene EMS, http://www.firstonsceneems.com. Information at http://www.ridofsilence.org/main.php
