Description:  These two routes head east and skirt Lake Berryessa. The medium route is not much shorter, but it does trim the climbing by 854 feet. From Yountville, we head east, climbing, descending and regrouping at Turtle Rock Cafe (mile 20). From here we skirt Lake Berryessa. Day Use areas, Recreational areas, and a visitor's center along the route should provide porta potties. Sorry. This is a remote area. Our next regroup spot is Pope Valley Market (mile 42.5). The two routes split at this point. The medium route heads southwest on Chiles Pope Valley Rd. From the market in Pope Valley, there is no water on the medium route for the next 25 miles. The long route heads west on Ink Grade and descends through Angwin. There's a market at mile 50 in Angwin. Both routes take the Silverado Trail back to Yountville. Bathrooms and nearby food options at the start location.

Elevation    Long:  4641 feet
