Late Summer Europe Tour

We are traveling with Sierra Sports and Tours and looking forward to a fun three weeks.  We will meet in Toulouse, France and head to Castres where will will spend four nights and ride in the region.  Then travel to Prades: a located in the Pyrenees in Southern France and close to two rivers.

Then we travel to Quillian, France. Located in the foothills of the Pyrenees.  The area is a popular spot for whitewater Sports, hiking, swimming and paddle boarding in the nearby lake- Saint Bertrand. Carcassonne Medieval walls, wine and cheese tasting shops. 
After 3 nights we travel to Argeles-sur-Mer, France (3 nights).  This is a seaside community known for its sandy beaches, Catalan culture where the Pyrenees meets the Mediterranean Sea. Here we will explore a mixture of many outdoor and cultural activities.

Then we move on to Roses, Spain for two nights.  This is in the Costa Brava region and is a major fishing region. The area is rich in history, known for the beaches, archaeological site and natural park. 

The next stop is Figueres, Spain wheee we spend 3 nights.  The birthplace of Salvador Dali, a Dali Theater and museum.  The area is also known for its rich history, Catalan culture where and the gateway to Costa Brava beaches. 

Our next stop will be Girona, Spain where we stay three nights.  This is a historic city in Catalonia, northeastern Spain.  There is a well-preserved medieval Old Quarter: a maze of narrow cobbled streets, medieval buildings and a Roman fortress.  Local cuisine includes world famous restaurants. 

The next location is Calella de Palafrugell, Spain.  This is. Fishing village in the Costa Brava region.  The area is famous for its beautiful beaches and clear water, fresh seafood, tapas bars and cozy taverns near the sea.

The trip ends in Barcelona where folks can stay extra days before heading home.
